We have had another eventful and great year of watching the whole gamut of this form of entertainment, and covering wall-to-wall the Trifecta of Are You The One? For this 2nd annual review, I’m joined once again, as it was last year on New Year’s Eve, by fellow MTV insider, webcast host and twitter follower Andrew Kirk as the both of us will provide our thoughts on what we have witnessed in the past twelve months spanning three whole seasons of the Trifecta and other things too. As he’s putting more emphasis on things going on outside this world as I always say As ever, we have our own opinions on what’s transpired this year with some good old discussion and more to help fuel the discussion as we near the premiere in 30 hours from now. Today, we’ll be previewing that new Challenge season and look back at Battle of the Exes 2 from earlier this year. Overall impressions of them?

That being said, I got straight up addicted to The Real World at an early age because I never had a time in my life where I thought girls were icky. I remember where I was when Stephen slapped Irene because she called him out for being gay in Seattle. I remember being disgustingly jealous of Brad during the San Diego season because he was taking down Cameron who is still, to this day, the best looking person to ever be on any of those shows.

And yes, I may have shed a tear or two when I found out that Knight and Joey died after their seasons. Naturally, my addiction to The Real World transitioned into an affinity for what I consider to be the best reality series on television next to the now-defunct Paradise Hotel — The Challenge. I assume two teams go into a head-to-head type situation after each challenge, with three teams remaining at the end of the season that will compete for the money.

Johnny “Bananas” & Nany “Bananas” is currently spoken for, and his one-time hook-up with Nany happened off-screen, so it seems unlikely viewers will ever see any action. But seeing how bossy, hyper-competitive “Bananas” deals with a partner is always transfixing.

Animal Tears By Royal J. Nadeau PhD Last spring, our neighbor called to us from her deck. It’s been bleating for two days and driving my dog bonkers. We haven’t seen the mother around either.

Did any of the cast of friends hook up in real life If stolen was the cast was seen romantically with talk of the. Mtv dedicated to ask why zach, premiered on drums.

Zach was the first to draw his card, and you could feel the tension rise as he approached a table decorated with four wooden blocks and had to decide which one to flip over. Then, as the music crescendoed with suspense, the next three players approached the tables to draw their cards, one at a time, each more nervous than the last, crumbling with terror as they stared fate in its chiseled face… and they also chose blanks.

I liked this part! Leroy was unfortunate to face off against CT in the Wrecking Wall elimination, and he at least lost a fair fight. And after twelve weeks of Recaps, you guys know how I feel about Devyn by now. Is he going to DIE?

The Challenge XXX Cast Below is a comprehensive list of the cast, complete with Challenge history, fantasy statistics, performance notes and our opinion of their drama potential. Cast members are listed from highest average fantasy points to lowest which means rookies are at the bottom. This is obviously very flawed, as the first season of this fantasy league was Rivals 2 and many of the cast members were on plenty of seasons before then, and several have been just on one season… which is why you see Devin listed above the much more talented Darrell.

Ex-plosion — 27 years old. Smashley has been on Rivals 3, where her and partner Cory were eliminated Episode 11, Invasion, which she won and Champs vs. Pros, where she was eliminated in Episode 5 of 6.

And the team names would be Team *enter champion’s name here* and play it sort of like they did in “Battle of the Seasons” and winning team of each challenge has a chance to vote another team in OR change a player for another (of same gender) through a vote, but giving up elimination immunity and doing a group vote to send another team in.

Now with mixed gendered teams! Time to drink and get in the pool! One the side of the pool, the Are You The One? Briana yells at Brandon with pool audience Some veterans line up to not-so-subtly eavesdrop, which makes for a great shot. The pre-Challenge challenge is to skydive down to T. Nany is scared and cries 5 points. Everyone jumps except for wuss Nate. Camila is so pissed to be with Tony, who dissed her sister last season, that she cries 5 points.

Bananas really plays up his dislike for Sarah, something that is still just so over-dramatic considering he of all people should, and probably in reality reality as opposed to reality TV understands that she made the best move possible.

Bananas and Nany had a fwb thing for like a year and a half. Not just a little hook up. CT had NOTHING with Cooke but a semi stalker – she wanted it bad and tried to make people think there was more than banter but not even a kiss.

Format[ edit ] Battle of the Exes II follows the same format as the original Battle of the Exes challenge click here for further information , with the following differences: After the first eight “Dome” games, a losing team will have a chance to re-join the competition in ” Battle of the EX-iled ,” which will pit a newly eliminated couple against the winner of the previous week’s “Ex-iled” winner.

Ex-ile matches and mini episodes were shown on MTV. Sources for this section: On the first season of Are You The One? She spent the duration of the season cooing over Adam, but Adam was only interested in taking Brittany to the boom boom room. They tried to make it last, but they didn’t work well as a couple. Since their fling ended, they have tried to keep a distance from each other on other challenges.

Towards the end of Free Agents , the two started to develop a closer friendship, and realized that they worked well together. Nany has stated that she can still feel the spark between them on some occasions. The two were paired together in the original Battle of the Exes season click here for further information , and placed second in the Viking Quest final challenge. The two next competed in Rivals II , however, Diem felt that CT’s political game interfered with their trust, with CT winning the competition with his rival partner Wes Bergmann, and Diem falling just short of the final challenge with her rival partner Aneesa Ferreira.

Everything You Need To Know About This Season Of MTV’s “The Challenge: Battle Of The Bloodlines”

While it remains a mystery who the “other girls” are that told Tonya what happened to her after she woke up, Bananas was actually there in Phuket in “Not only was I there, both Sarah [Rice] and Susie [Meister] were in the room at the time it supposedly took place.

They just moved on to the next case. I want to expose this because I don’t want it to happen to anyone else. Rehma was hospitalized on January 14 – the day of her first birthday – and declared dead two days later. They reportedly later found a pillow, baby wipes and a dish towel stained with blood. ‘The Challenge: Bloodlines’ Premiere Recap: Prepare for Pants Dropping

I borrowed from my cousin, Miss Long Island A very good year. Frequently happens to C. Fran calls Maxwell “Mr. Sheffield” and Maxwell calls her “Miss Fine” until the later seasons when they finally hook up.

So, I feel it’s gonna affect them and they have to think about playing this game more differently than usual because a hook-up between someone else on this cast will surely initiate a domino effect.” Let’s begin our preview in going by twos here, starting with Aneesa and Bananas.

This past week — an eventful one in MTV Reality as will be explained this weekend — saw the renewal of what is now the latest love story to grip what many call the fifth major pro sport: This relationship began when the reality competition show’s most iconic romance was in its final chapter: Diem Brown falling ill on Battle of the Exes 2, longtime boyfriend CT Tamburello going back home with her, and the last months of Diem’s courageous battle with cancer.

But while in Costa Rica with others who had romantic flings flame out and then getting paired up again, a new couple was born that has now become the latest romance to blossom in a genre where reality romances come as go as often as refreshing your social media timelines. That couple first charmed everyone three years ago in mixing a hot-headed former football player with a gorgeous model, then went through a number of interesting events that broke them apart, and somehow seemingly brought them back together again.

And as the road to The Challenge: Stars last night broke the internet. Both Zach and Jenna have been in high profile romances that have captured by MTV cameras, which has seen the both of them in drama with their exes before they found each other. Both their journeys began on the OG of reality television: The Real World, continued onto The Challenge afterwards and has seen both make multiple finals and consistently contend for the top prize, with one title to show for it between the two of them.

Her ex was Jay G. Jenna and Jay dated off and on for two years and after many instances of him getting away with murder, once she came to the Bay Area she did what many in the Ex On The Beach house have done in Hawaii:

MTV The Challenge

When every girl you meet wants you for sex you tend to develop a low opinion of the entire “species” as he put it. By that logic every woman above a six should hate all men. Men and women are different. Men are conditioned to believe that they need to ‘earn’ sex while women are conditioned to believe that they ‘control’ sex.

When a man doesn’t need to “earn” it anymore they tend to have a low opinion of women.

With Wes Bergmann, Diem Brown, Jemmye Carroll, Preston Charles. Frank unleashes his fury on Jordan causing uproar in the house. A cast member’s flirtation leads to an unexpected hook up. At the challenge, the teams are physically SHOCKED into trusting each other.

E08 Last week, Jordan let his hubris get the better of him. Or, as the show puts it, “Bananas rose to the occasion,” which…ew. Also last week, Devyn bid farewell to her wig, Tamara, which couldn’t survive the horrors of saran wrap, sand, tomatoes, and other random things the piglets had to roll over. So, the Challengers are saying goodbye the only way they know how: The editors pipe in some appropriately mournful music.

It reminds me of when The Challenge used to be good, and there was that episode where they were all stuck inside the house and decided to have a costume contest and Sharon from London won. I don’t know where Sharon from London is now, but I hope the answer is “far, far away from here. Her main argument is that if one of them leaves the show that will end their relationship, because these people are suspended in animation when The Challenge isn’t on and are reawakened in time to get on the plane and fameball it out.

Oh, wait, about five minutes later it turns out that the real reason is that Nany wants to have sex with Johnny. Slut-shamer-in-chief Bananas decides it’s his job to tell Cohutta about it, but Nany eventually takes charge of her sexuality and does it herself.

MTV Real World/Challenge Thread (RIP Diem 11/14/14)

Looks like Jamie went after the lowest hanging fruit possible. She was actually kicked off her season of the real world. If you can, imagine what kind of colossal asshole you have to be to get kicked off of that show. Shes a pig with a horrible personality.

The challengers start off the episode partying it up at some club. Jordan (Portland) and Jonna (Cancun) are doing some dirty dancing and locking lips on the dance floor. It seems impossible for Jonna to go through a challenge season without finding some guy to hook up with. Last season she was all.

Wes Bergman Real World: Las Vegas Seeding If one theme prevails throughout the MTV Challenge, it’s that past challenge winners are given more respect and rookie challengers “earn their stripes” by getting tossed into the first few eliminations. As a result, it’s more likely that a seasoned team with one or two previous challenge winners can be expected to perform better than a rookie team in their first challenge, all other things equal.

Thus, for seeding purposes, I awarded each teams points based on the following accomplishments and experience: He or she would get 10 points for the win, five points for the finals appearance, and one point each for the other three appearances, for a total of 18 points. Sounds simple enough, right? With that said, let’s check out the initial Rivals: Methodology The winners of each matchup advance to the next round to face a new opponent, with the winners of that matchup advancing to the next round, and so on until only one team remains.

It’s basically the same concept as any single elimination tournament ever. The determination of who advances in each matchup is determined solely by me on a subjective basis. Advancement may be based on gut feelings, historical performances, personal characteristics, probability for drama, my overall opinion of the teams in question, or any combination thereof.
